Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers is a certification class for doctors, nurses and others who work in a medical profession or in clinical areas including nursing students or healthcare providers renewing their current BLS certification. This course covers CPR for Adult, Child, and Infant, two person CPR with (BVM) Bag Valve Mask, Choking and AED.
Course Length 2.5-3 hours  Renewals are 2 hours BLS Skills Only 1 hour

Performing CPR is physically demanding.  If you have any medical concerns in relation to these activities, you should contact your doctor before attending the program.  Course Length typically 2 hours

Heartsaver CPR & AED classes are for laypersons / bystanders / childcare professionals who need to know how to provide basic care giving skills and respond properly to ill or injured persons.
This class covers Adult, Child and Infant CPR, choking, using the AED.  The course will help you recognize medical emergencies, get help immediately and quickly render care until professional help (EMS) arrives

Course Length 2 hours

Performing CPR is physically demanding.  If you have any medical concerns in relation to these activities, you should contact your doctor before attending the program.

First Aid Only classes are for healthcare professionals/laypersons/bystanders/childcare professionals who need to know how to provide basic caregiving skills and respond properly to ill or injured persons.  This class covers Basic First Aid. The course will give you the knowledge and skills needed to manage illnesses and injuries in adults, children, and Infants in the first few minutes until professional help arrives (EMS).


Course Length 2.5-3 hours 

Heartsaver First Aid with AED & CPR classes are for laypersons/bystanders/childcare professionals who need to know how to provide basic caregiving skills and respond properly to ill or injured persons.

This class covers Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, choking, using the AED, and basic First Aid training. The course will help you recognize medical emergencies, get help immediately, and quickly render care until professional help (EMS) arrives.

AHA Heartsaver courses, including CPR/AED and First Aid, typically range from 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the specific course and whether additional modules like infant CPR are included. Some courses, like the Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED course, may take even longer, around 3.5-4 hours.

ACLS teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, continuous high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is available in two different training methods – blended learning and classroom training. All ACLS course options teach the same AHA science-based skills and result in the same AHA ACLS Course Completion Card.

Is ACLS the right course for me?

ACLS is geared towards healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies or personnel in emergency response. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.

This is a refresher class NOT for First Time Students

Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers refresher portion.  Performing CPR is physically demanding.  If you have any medical concerns in relation to these activities, you should contact your doctor before attending the program.  Course Length typically 2 hours

ACLS update or refresher course is typically 2-4 hours long, depending on the group size, which we only allow for two students per class. 

To help you prepare, PLEASE READ before your arrival for training.  There is no prep required for the BLS portion. There is a requirement that all students taking ACLS refresher take the mandatory pretest/self-assessment online through the American Heart Association. The report helps us determine what to review with you during the first hour of the refresher course. When AHA changed guidelines for ACLS in 2020, there was a new ACLS Provider Manual. If you do not yet have that latest manual, you can either borrow one from a friend. Course overview

The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. The program teaches how to get started with a business, working with parents and children, and key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips. 

Perfect For

Ages 11- 15 Teens/young adults interested in a babysitting business, or who have responsibility for younger family members.

Prerequisites

None, however CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certification is strongly recommended.

Required for Successful Completion

SKILLS EVALUATION

Students must perform required skills competently without assistance.

Successful completion is based on achievement of the core learning objectives rather than a prescribed instruction time.

The Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online course is taught in a blended learning format. To receive a course completion card, students must first complete the online portion and then attend a hands-on skills session conducted by an American Heart Association Instructor.

The Heartsaver Total path is designed to meet OSHA and other regulatory requirements, providing training in CPR, AED use, and first aid. During the hands-on session, you must demonstrate lifesaving skills on infant, child, and adult manikins. You will also be required to demonstrate advanced bleeding control (pressure bandages, tourniquets, and wound packing) and basic first aid, including the use of an epinephrine pen.
 
Important Requirement:
You must bring your online course completion certificate to the skills session. Failure to provide this certificate will require you to reschedule and pay a rescheduling fee.

We offer virtual monitors via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, FaceTime, WhatsApp, or Google Meets. We are available Monday through Sunday, with start times as late as 6 p.m., to provide flexibility for scheduling a mock class. Before your virtual monitor, a staff member will contact you to assist with device positioning for optimal viewing. The monitor will observe the entire session, including video, skills demonstration, student monitoring, and coaching.
 
Please have the following required equipment ready for review:
* Adult, child, and infant manikins
* All three sizes of bag valve masks (BVMs)
* AED trainer
* Narcan trainer
* 2020 BLS course DVD/USB
 
The AED trainer, Narcan trainer, and adult, child, and infant manikins with all three sizes of BVMs are required. If any required equipment is missing, you will not be able to re-certify and will incur a $100 rescheduling fee.
 
For rescheduling or cancellations, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Failure to do so or not being prepared when contacted will result in a $100 fee.
